Steve has enjoyed working in Higher Education for over 25 years, teaching a wide variety of courses in both Science and Mathematics at Fresno Pacific University. He received his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Kansas where his research in spectroscopy involved the integration of physics, chemistry, and biology. Steve is passionate about finding the overlap and integration within the different areas of STEAM education. He loves finding new and innovative ways of developing creative play, spatial learning, embodied cognition, and maker education in both formal and informal educational settings. Outside of work, Steve enjoys family, fly fishing, kayaking, art, making, woodwork, and spending time in his orchard.
